Welcome to S.T.A.R. Central!
Members enjoy meeting in the morning for coffee and a continental breakfast and then attending some morning activities. Central offers several different morning activity options. You can enjoy spending time on the computer, studying for your GED, playing board games, socializing with friends or participating in a game of cards. In addition to activities, S.T.A.R. Central also offers many peer-run groups with topics such as anger management, making friends, symptom management, current events, conflict resolution, money management, overcoming depression, and many, many more.
Lunch is a free, hot, well-balanced meal provided for members who participate in a morning group or activity. Members enjoy eating together and socializing. After lunch members who wish to earn S.T.A.R dollars (house money) and work on their independent living skills can complete a chore. S.T.A.R. dollars can be spent on off-site activities and within the clothing and food share programs.
There are several afternoon activities to enjoy at S.T.A.R. Central. Once again, you chose which activities you want to attend. You can attend a peer group, play Wii games, sing karaoke, make something in Arts and Crafts, spend S.T.A.R dollars shopping in food share, or clothing share, or go on an afternoon field trip. This location also has a shower and laundry facility that is free for our members. We encourage you to review our calendar for the activities that interest you.

You can enjoy taking a morning walk while socializing, get creative with arts and crafts, spending time on the computer, study for your GED, play board games, or participating in a game of cards. In addition to activities, S.T.A.R. East also offers many peer-run groups to choose from with topics such as anger management, making friends, current events, conflict resolution, live your best life, money management, overcoming depression, and many, many more.

West offers your choice of several different morning activities: You can enjoy spending time on the computer, studying for your GED, playing board games, or participating in a game of cards.
Throughout the day S.T.A.R. West offers many peer-run groups with topics such as anger management, current events, conflict resolution, money management, developing friendships, overcoming depression, and many, many more. Lunch is a free, hot, well balanced meal provided for members who fulfill the one group minimum requirement. Members enjoy eating together and socializing.
After lunch members who wish to earn S.T.A.R dollars (house money) and learn independent living skills chose a chore to complete in order to spend it later in Food Share, Clothing Share and to participate in Field Trips, Bingo or other events. Upon completing daily chores there are several afternoon activities to participate in. Once again, you choose which activities you want to attend. You can attend a peer group, play Wii games, sing karaoke, make something in Arts and Crafts, spend S.T.A.R dollars shopping in food share or clothing share, or go on an afternoon field trip.
